NOISE & whispers considers the fusion of sound, art and science by bringing together the work of over 30 contemporary artists.
From the earliest revelation that objects make noise, through to the complex digital sound manipulations of today, artists have embraced new discoveries to create works impossible in previous generations.

Material Studies Group – Workshop

Coinciding with the first ever exhibition of Material Residues, video documentation of previous Material Studies workshops and interventions, the Material Studies Group will converge at GV Art on 14th November from 7-9pm for a session of unconstrained collective explorations of the sounds within matter.

Music of the Spheres
lecture and “performance” Thursday 28 November 2013, 7-9pm
Music of the Spheres utilises new bioinformatics technology developed by Dr. Nick Goldman to encode a new musical recording by Mira Calix into DNA. The project is being presented by artist Charlotte Jarvis in a series of performances and installations in 2014.
